Privacy Policy
Last updated: October, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Advanced Home AV Inc. ("AHAV," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at ahav.com, our SCADA monitoring platform, our operations platform (Ops), the Crestron and other smart home, audio-video, and network systems we install and service, our web applications, and our text message (SMS) programs, AHAV Equipment Alerts and AHAV Service Alerts (together, the "Services").
1. Information we collect
-
Contact and account information: name, email address, mobile phone number, job role, company or site name, and login credentials for users of our web application.
-
Alert recipient information: mobile phone numbers and names of facility staff whom a site administrator adds as alert recipients, along with the record of their consent and their YES/STOP replies.
-
Service alert recipient information: names, mobile phone numbers, and service addresses of customers and AHAV staff who opt in to AHAV Service Alerts, along with the record of their consent and their STOP/HELP replies.
-
Installed system data: status, connectivity, and event information from Crestron and other systems AHAV installs or services, and service ticket and appointment details.
-
Equipment and site data: readings, status, fault codes, and event logs from monitored equipment (for example pumps, heaters, and water chemistry controllers).
-
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs when you access our website or web application.
2. How we use information
-
To operate the monitoring platform and deliver equipment alerts by text message, email, or in-app notification.
-
To send Crestron and other system alerts, service appointment confirmations and reminders, and service ticket updates to customers and staff who opted in to AHAV Service Alerts.
-
To confirm alert recipients' consent and honor opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests.
-
To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
-
To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.
-
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Text messaging (SMS)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We use mobile phone numbers only to send the equipment alerts and service messages that the recipient agreed to receive, and to process their replies. Message frequency varies with equipment conditions and service activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. After you reply STOP, we will send one message confirming you have been unsubscribed and will send no further alerts unless you opt in again. See our Terms of Service for full SMS program terms.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
-
With service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, and our SMS delivery provider), solely to perform services on our behalf and subject to confidentiality obligations. Sharing with these providers to deliver messages does not include sharing for their own marketing.
-
With the site administrator and authorized users of the site account you are associated with (for example, the list of alert recipients for that site).
-
When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AHAV, our customers, or others.
-
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Alert recipient numbers are removed from active alert lists when the recipient opts out or is removed by their site administrator; we may keep a record of the opt-out so that we continue to honor it.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
-
Opt out of text alerts at any time by replying STOP, or by asking your site administrator to remove you.
-
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
8. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and their staff and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
